Somerset coach Jeron Dunbar started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Gavin Stevens, 6-2 Sr. Dakota Acey, 6-3 Sr. Kannon Tucker, 6-2 Sr. Kade Grundy, and 6-3 Sr. Dylan Burton.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr. Darik Holman, 6-2 Sr. Aziel Blackwell, 6-3 Sr. Harrison Lynch, 5-8 Jr. Sincere Madison, and 6-1 Jr. Kanye Henderson.

 

Henry Clay captured a hard fought 76-73 victory over Somerset tonight.  The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Henry Clay shot 49% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Somerset turnovers.  Somerset shot 43.9% from the field including seven of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Briar Jumpers connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Aziel Blackwell led Henry Clay with 27 points including four three point baskets, 11 of 13 free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.  Kanye Henderson added 18 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two assists.  Darik Holman recorded 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Harrison Lynch chipped in with 10 points and three rebounds.

 

Gavin Stevens led Somerset with 19 points including three three point baskets, and seven rebounds.  Kade Grundy added 19 points including four of four free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Dylan Burton recorded 19 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.
