Murray State University coach Matt McMahon started the following lineup: 6-8 So. Demond Robinson, 6-5 Jr. Tevin Brown, 6-10 Jr. KJ Williams, 6-2 So. Chico Carter Jr., and 6-2 Fr. Dionte Bostick.  Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb.

Murray State university defeated Eastern Kentucky University by the score of 76-64.  Murray State shot 52,8% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Racers connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 41.9% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Murray State turnovers.

Chico Carter Jr. led Murray State with 23 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.  KJ Williams added 18 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Tevin Brown recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and five assists.  Demond Robinson chipped in with 10 points including four of four free throws.  6-6 Sr. Devin Gilmore added seven points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Wendell Green Jr. led Eastern Kentucky University with 24 points, four rebounds, and eight assists.  Tre King added 17 points, five rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Michael Moreno recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  Curt Lewis pulled down seven rebounds.
