Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Keelee King, 5-11 Sr. Casey Coleman, 6-0 So.Hallie Brown, 5-6 Sr. Aliyah Lopez, and 5-6 Sr. Jordan Harper. Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. Countered with 5-9 Fr. Ava Schureman, 5-7 Jr. Rachel Smith, 6-0 So. Raegan Barrett, 5-1 Sr. Braylee McMath, and 5-7 Jr. Timothi Williams.
Great Crossing led 50-29 in the third quarter and withstood a Rockcastle County rally to earn a 68-58 victory. Great Crossing shot 47.3% from the field including 12 of 24 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 10 Rockcastle County turnovers. Rockcastle County shot 41.9% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Rockets connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored two points off eight Great Crossing turnovers.
Timothi Williams led Great Crossing with 22 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Braylee McMath added 15 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Raegan Barrett recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Ava Schureman and 5-5 Sr. Hailey Ward each tallied six points and six rebounds.
Keelee King led Rockcastle County with 23 points including eight of eight free throws, and five rebounds. Casey Coleman added 12 points and six rebounds. Hallie Brown recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.
