Madison Southern coach Austin Newton started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Trent DeVries, 6-1 So. Jay Rose, 6-4 So. Brett Erslan, 5-8 Jr. Walter Smith, and 5-9 Sr. Jayden Adams.  Franklin County coach Tony Wise countered with 6-3 Jr. Jayden Mattison, 6-2 Sr. Fred Farrier, 6-5 Sr. Phillip Peiffer, 5-8 Jr. Zac Cox, and 6-2 Sr. Nick Broyles.

Madison Southern defeated Franklin County by the score of 56-48.  The score was tied four times and 12 lead changes in the game.  Madison Southern shot 37.8% from the field including five of 22 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 17 of 20 from the free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 36% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Madison Southern turnovers.

Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 19 points including eight of eight free throws, and six rebounds.  Trent DeVries added 16 points including three three point baskets, three of four free throws, and four rebounds.  Brett Erslan recorded 11 points including five of six free throws, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. 

Zac Cox led Franklin County with 17 points, three rebounds, and two steals.  Phillip Peiffer added 10 points including four of four free throws and five rebounds.  6-7 Jr. Max Mulder recorded four points, nine rebounds, and two assists.
