Lexington Catholic vs. Lincoln County (Boys)

Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Jack Gohmann, 6-4 So. Hudson Sparks, 6-10 So. Reece Potter, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Russell, and 6-2 Sr. Ben Johnson.  Lincoln County coach Jeff Jackson countered with 6-3 So. Colton Ralston, 6-2 Sr. Brady Weaver, 6-3 Sr. Baylor Mattingly, 5-11 So. Tramane Alcorn, and 6-2 Jr. Jaxon Smith.

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Lincoln County by the score of 63-45.  Lexington Catholic shot 52.6% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 18 of 30 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 31.4% from the field including seven of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored two points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 31 points including three three point baskets, eight of 11 free throws, nine rebounds, five assists, and one steal.  Jack Gohmann added 13 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, and five assists.  Hudson Sparks recorded nine points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Reece Potter chipped in with four points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots.  6-8 So. John McCrear a recent addition to the team recorded four points, five rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.

 

Baylor Mattingly led Lincoln County with 14 points including four three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Jaxon Smith added 11 points and three rebounds.  Tramane Alcorn recorded eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.  Colton Ralston chipped in with seven points.  5-10 Jr. Clayton Davis added five points and seven rebounds.
