Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-3 So. Emma Hacker, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.  Belmont University coach Bart Brooks countered with 6-1 Jr. Conley Chinn, 5-7 Fr. Tuti Jones, 6-3 Fr. Madison Bartley, 5-6 Fr. Destinee Wells, and 5-7 Jr. Jamilyn Kinney.

Eastern Kentucky tied the score at 73-73 with 2:06 left in the game but Belmont closed out the game with a 9-0 run to earn an 82-73 victory.  The score was tied twice and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Belmont shot 47.8% from the field including eight of 28 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 48.2% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Belmont turnovers.

Destinee Wells led Belmont with 26 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Conley Chinn added 15 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Madison Bartley recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.  Jamilyn Kinney chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets and three assists.  5-10 Jr. Maddie Cook added eight points, three rebounds, and four assists.

Jayla Johnson led Eastern Kentucky University with 26 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Emma Hacker added 16 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Kendall Wingler recorded 15 points including two three point baskets, three of three free throws, six rebounds, and four assists.  Bria Bass chipped in with 10 rebounds, eight rebounds, and two assists.
