Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-5 So. Eve Carter, and 5-7 So. Chloe Freeman. Nicholas County coach Greg Letcher countered with 5-7 Sr. Autumn Adams, 5-7 Jr. Lauren Tedder, 5-10 Jr. Melanie Hatton, 5-4 Jr. Jada Cleaver, and 5-6 Fr. Trista Ritchie.
Madison Central scored 40 points off 34 Nicholas County turnovers in a 60-30 victory over the Lady Jackets. Madison Central shot 44.9% from the field including three of seven from the three point line. The Indians connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and held an 18-2 advantage in bench scoring. Nicholas County shot 29% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Jackets connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Madison Central turnovers.
Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 20 points, three rebounds, and four steals. 5-7 So. Presley Lochmueller added eight points and three rebounds. 5-5 8th Grade Brittany Campbell recorded seven points, five assists, and five steals. Chloe Freeman chipped in with seven points, two assists, and two steals.
Autumn Adams led Nicholas County with six points, three rebounds, and two assists. 5-5 Fr. Sydney Carpenter added five points, two rebounds, and two assists. Melanie Hatton recorded four points and four rebounds. 5-7 Fr. Nevea Davis chipped in with four points on four of four free throws and two rebounds. Jada Cleaver pulled down seven rebounds.
