Lincoln County coach Brandon Fisher started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Chloe Ralston, 5-5 Fr. Makayla Greer, 6-0 So.Emily Estes, 5-4 Sr. Katie Carmicle, and 5-58th Grade Alexia Baldock. Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum.
Alexia Baldock scored on a steal and layup with over a minute left to give Lincoln County a 33-31 lead. Neither team took advantage of several chances in the final minute as Lincoln County missed three free throws, Madison Central was 1-2 from the charity stripe and missed a shot in the closing seconds as Lincoln County won by the score of 33-32. The score was tied four times and eight lead changes in the game. Madison Central led 24-20 after three quarters but the Lady Patriots outscored them 13-8 in the final quarter to earn the victor4y.
Lincoln County shot 35.9% from the field including one of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Patriots connected on four of 11 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 27.7% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on three of nine free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 18 Lincoln County turnovers.
Alexia Baldock led Lincoln County with 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Emily Estes added 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Chloe Ralston recorded six points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Katie Carmicle pulled down seven rebounds.
Brianna Bierbaum led Madison Central with 10 points including two three point baskets. Bailey Hensley added eight points, eight rebounds, and three steals. 5-5 8th Grade Eden Carter recorded five points and two rebounds. Eve Carter added four points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Gretchen Hammitt pulled down six rebounds and Raelynn Miller had five rebounds.
