Knott County Central coach BB King started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Colby Napier, 6-1 So. Kizer Slone, 6-6 Sr. Josh McGuire, 5-10 Sr. Scott Shepherd, and 5-10 Sr. Kent Damron.  Pikeville coach Elisha Justice countered with 6-6 Jr. Rylee Samons, 6-2 Jr. Nick Robinson, 6-4 Jr. Lukas Manns, 5-9 Jr. Laithan Hall, and 5-11 Jr. Zac Lockhart.

 

Pikeville led 46-41 after three quarters but Knott County Central outscored the Panthers 18-9 in the final quarter to earn a 59-55 victory.  There were seven lead changes and six ties in this game.  Knott County Central shot 44.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Pikeville turnovers.  Pikeville shot 44% from the field including 10 of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on only one of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Knott County Central turnovers.

 

Colby Napier led Knott County Central with 24 points including three three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, five rebounds, and four assists.  Scott Shepherd added 11 points and nine rebounds.  5-9 So. Jayden Huff recorded 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Kent Damron chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds, and seven assists. Josh McGuire pulled down 14 rebounds.

 

Laithan Hall led Pikeville with 14 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and five assists.  Nick Robinson added 13 points and four rebounds.  Riley Samons recorded 12 points on four three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  6-2 Jr. Tate Walters added six points.
