Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Colin McHale, 6-4 Sr. Donovan Stocks, 6-6 So. Chandler Starks, 5-9 So. Evan Ipsaro, and 5-9 Sr. Reece Murphy.  Covington Holy Cross coach Brandon Grammer countered with 6-0 Sr. Blake Robinson, 6-0 Jr. Dylan Arlinghaus, 6-3 Sr. Jeremiah Hicks, 5-10 Sr. Brandon McClendon, and 6-0 So. Jacob Meyer.

 

Covington Catholic defeated Covington Holy Cross by the score of 78-44.  Covington Catholic shot 54.9% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and committed seven turnovers.  Holy Cross shot 42.6% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Indians did not attempt any free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.

 

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 19 points, seven assists, and four steals.  Ipsaro was six of six from the field including four of four from beyond the arc and three of four free throws.  6-7 Jr. Mitchell Rylee added 17 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Rylee was seven of eight from the field and three of three free throws.  Colin McHale recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Chandler Starks chipped in with 13 points, six rebounds, and two assists.  Donovan Stocks added six points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

 

Jacob Meyer led Holy Cross with 16 points including two three point baskets, and five rebounds.  Brandon McClendon added eight points and three rebounds.  Jeremiah Hicks recorded eight points and two rebounds.
