Eastern Kentucky coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-3 So. Emma Hacker, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.  University Tennessee Martin coach Kevin McMillan countered with 5-11 So. Dasia Young, 5-10 Jr. Paige Pipkin, 6-2 Sr. Maddie Waldrop, 5-8 Jr. Sade’ Hudson, and 5-10 So. Seygan Robbins.

 

University Tennessee Martin led 35-31 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for an 81-62 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  There were five lead changes and four ties in this game.  Tennessee Marin shot 49.1% from the field including 13 of 24 from the three point line.  The Skyhawks connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points from 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35.3% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 19 of 22 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Tennessee Martin turnovers.

 

Seygan Robbins led UT Martin with 18 points on six three point baskets and four assists.  Robbins was six of eight from the field, all from beyond the arc.  Maddie Waldrop added 12 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and four blocked shots.  5-7 Jr. Zaire Hicks recorded 12 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  Dasia Young chipped in with 11 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Paige Pipkin added 10  points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and six assists.

 

Kendall Wingler led Eastern Kentucky with nine points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.  6-1 So. Anysa Jordan also scored nine points and pulled down three rebounds.  Bria Bass recorded eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Jayla Johnson chipped in with seven points.
