Bryan Station coach Brian Hall started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Tania Woodall, 5-8 Fr. Victory Sledge, 6-2 Sr. Olea Woodall, 5-4 Sr. Escarlis Perez, and 5-5 So. Emily Gomez.  Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum.

 

Bryan Station captured a 46-43 overtime victory over Madison Central in a game marred by turnovers (57 combined) and fouls (46 combined).  Bryan Station outscored Madison Central 25-6 from the charity stripe.  Madison Central’s season long bug-a-boo reappeared tonight as the Indians enjoyed an eight point lead in the third quarter but was unable to hold on down the stretch.  There were 11 ties and seven lead changes in the game.  Bryan Station refused to fold despite turning over the ball 33 times and their tenacity was rewarded with a victory.  Bryan Station shot 25.6% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Lady defenders connected on 25 of 39 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 24 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 27.3% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 33 Bryan Station turnovers.

 

Tania Woodall led Bryan Station with 15 points including 10 of 12 free throws, eight rebounds, and six steals.  Olea Woodall added 11 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Victory Sledge recorded eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.

 

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and six steals.  Eve Carter added six points, nine rebounds, three assists, and seven steals.  5-5 8th Grade Eden Carter recorded five points and seven rebounds.  Gretchen Hammitt chipped in with three points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
