George Rogers Clark coach Robbie Graham started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Brianna Byars, 5-8 8th Grade Ciara Byars, 5-10 Jr. Tyra Flowers, 5-7 Jr, Trinity Gay, and 5-8 Jr. Asja Garrard. Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum, and 5-4 So. Eve Carter.
George Rogers Clark defeated Madison Central by the score of 54-43. GRC shot 45.7% from the field including six of nine from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 30% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 22 GRC turnovers.
Brianna Byars led GRC with 21 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds. Trinity Gay added 12 points including two three point baskets. Ciara Byars recorded nine points and four rebounds. Tyra Flowers chipped in with four points and seven rebounds. 5-9 Jr. Amber Miller added four points and eight rebounds.
Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Eve Carter recorded 11 points including five of six free throws. 5-4 8th Grade Brittany Campbell added five points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
