Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-2 Fr. Vince Dawson, 6-2 Jr. Tye Schureman, 6-4 Jr. Kalib Perry, 5-7 Fr. Junius Burrell, and 5-10 Jr. Carson Walls. Scott County coach Tim Glenn countered with 6-2 Jr. Jeremy Hamilton, 6-3 Jr. Nick Mosby, 6-4 Sr. Elias Richardson, 5-8 Sr. Chase Grigsby, and 5-10 Jr. Andrew Willhite.
Great Crossing led 26-24 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to defeat Scott County 72-54. There were three lead changes and five ties in the game. Great Crossing shot 56% from the field including 10 of 18 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 43.2% from the field including eight of 18 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Great Crossing turnovers.
Carson Walls led Great Crossing with 21 points including five three point baskets and three rebounds. Vince Dawson added 13 points including two three point baskets. 5-11 Fr. Christian Martin recorded 13 points and two steals. Kalib Perry added 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots.
6-1 Jr. Micah Glenn led Scott County with 13 points. 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Haynes added 11 points including three three point baskets. Chase Grigsby recorded 11 points.
