Boone County coach Ryan Bowman started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Kelsie Anderson, 5-8 Sr. Mackenzie Tackett, 5-9 Sr. Molly Switzer, 5-6 Sr. Adrianna Haynes, and 5-6 Sr. Maddie Brown. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Jr. Olivia Cathers, 5-7 So. Kylie Noble, 6-0 Jr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Jr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-7 Jr. Lauren Walton.
The score was tied 42-42 after three quarters but Lafayette pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 63-51 victory over Boone County. There were seven lead changes and six ties in this game. Lafayette shot 47.9% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Boone County turnovers. Boone County shot 45.9% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Rebels connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 12 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.
Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 17 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Olivia Cathers added 11 points and 10 rebounds. 5-5 So. Gracyn Grantz recorded 11 points including seven of nine free throws and four assists. Lauren Walton chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.
Adrianna Haynes led Boone County with 20 points including five three point baskets and four rebounds. Mackenzie Tackett added 12 points and two assists. Maddie Brown chipped in with seven points.
