Bethlehem vs. Crittenden County (Semifinal)

 

Bethlehem coach Jason Clark started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Ella Thompson, 5-7 Jr. Kasey Spalding, 6-0 So. Emma Filiatreau, 5-5 Fr. Carlie Thurmond, and 5-5 Sr. Amelia Hodges.  Crittenden County coach Shannon Hodges countered with 5-9 Sr. Nahla Woodward, 5-7 Fr. Riley Smith, 5-7 Sr. Jaelyn Duncan, 5-5 Sr. Chandler Moss, and 5-6 So. Taylor Guess.

 

Bethlehem led 29-9 after the first quarter on their way to an 80-54 victory over Crittenden County.  Bethlehem shot 48.6% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Banshees connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 23 Crittenden County turnovers.  Crittenden County shot 34.9% from the field including four of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rockets connected on 20 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine Bethlehem turnovers.

 

Ella Thompson led Bethlehem with 18 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-2 So. Xaviara Smalley added 15 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Amelia Hodges recorded 15 points, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Carlie Thurmond chipped in  with nine points, two assists, and five steals.

 

Taylor Guess led Crittenden County with 26 points including three three point baskets, nine of 11 free throws, and five assists.  Nahla Woodward added 11 points including four of four free throws, three rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Chandler Moss recorded eight points including four of four free throws, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Jaelyn Duncan chipped in with seven points.

Berea vs. Walton-Verona (Semifinal)

 

Berea coach Dammian Stepp started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Madison Howell, 5-8 Jr. Alexis Newman, 6-0 Jr. Mackenzie Howell, 4-11 Jr. Isis Rodgers, and 5-6 Jr. Mati Stepp.  Walton-Verona Associate Head Coach Rianna Gayheart countered with 5-9 Sr. Paige Heuser, 5-8 Jr. Kylie Lay, 5-8 Jr. Maggie Buerger, 5-2 Sr. Haylee Neeley, and 5-7 Jr. Audrey Carrico.

 

Walton-Verona dominated play today in a 56-18 over Berea.  Walton-Verona shot 57.6% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Berea turnovers.  Berea shot 17.9% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pirates connected on two of five free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored four points off 14 Walton-Verona turnovers.

 

Maggie Buerger led Walton-Verona with 10 points including two three point baskets, and five rebounds.  Kylie Lay added nine points on three three point baskets.  5-8 So. Grace Brewer recorded seven points and Audrey Carrico chipped in with six points, five rebounds, and two assists.  5-4 So. Jenna Rodgers added six points and two steals.  Haylee Neeley recorded five points, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

 

Madison Howell led Berea with five points and three rebounds.  5-9 So. Chesney Lovins added four points and two rebounds.

Walton-Verona vs. Bethlehem (Championship)

 

Walton-Verona Associate Head Coach Rianna Gayheart started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Paige Heuser, 5-8 Jr. Kylie Lay, 5-8 Jr. Maggie Buerger, 5-2 Sr. Haylee Neeley, and 5-7 Jr. Audrey Carrico.  Bethlehem coach Jason Clark countered with 5-10 Sr. Ella Thompson, 5-7 Jr. Kasey Spalding, 6-0 So. Emma Filiatreau, 5-5 Fr. Carlie Thurmond, and 5-5 Sr. Amelia Hodges. 

 

Bethlehem defeated Walton-Verona by the score of 53-43.  The score was tied once and there were four lead changes in this game.  Bethlehem shot 54.5% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Banshees connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored three points off nine Walton-Verona turnovers.  Walton-Verona shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bearcats connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored two points off five Bethlehem turnovers.

 

Ella Thompson led Bethlehem with 12 points including five of six free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  6-2 So. Xaviara Smalley added 12 points and eight rebounds.  Amelia Hodges recorded 10 points, two rebounds, and six assists.  Carlie Thurmond added 10 points including two three point baskets and two assists.  Kasey Spalding chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets. 

 

Maggie Buerger led Walton-Verona with 14 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Haylee Neeley added 12 points on four three point baskets and three assists.  5-8 So. Grace Brewer recorded seven points and five rebounds.
