Rowan County coach Matt Stokes started the following lineup: 5-6 Jr. Kessaney Melton, 5-5 So. Katie Chandler, 5-6 Jr. Hailey Rose, 5-5 So. Haven Ford, and 5-5 Fr. Destiny Utterback.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-10 Jr. Patience Laster, 5-5 Jr. Shauvi Kennedy, 6-4 Jhaven Meade, 5-2 Jr. Nevaeh Carter, and 5-6 Sr. Brooklynn Miles.

Rowan County outscored Franklin County 22-12 in the second quarter on their way to a 72-66 victory.  Rowan County shot 44.4% from the field including nine of 21 from the three point line.  The Vikings connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and committed eight turnovers.  Franklin County shot 49.1% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Flyers connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and committed 11 turnovers.

Haven Ford led Rowan County with 26 points including two three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, 10 rebounds, six assists, and nine steals.  Katie Chandler added 25 points including five three point baskets.  5-5 Sr. Bailey Haynes recorded nine points.  Hailey Rose chipped in with six points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Patience Laster led Franklin County with 33 points and seven rebounds.  Laster was 14 of 17 from the field and five of seven free throws.  Shauvi Kennedy added 10 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists.  Brooklynn Miles recorded nine points, eight rebounds, 13 assists, and four steals.
