44th District Tournament

Madison Central Coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-6 So Trey Skaggs, 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray, 6-8 So. Malachi Wood, 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne, and 6-4 So. Jaylen Davis.  Model coach John Morgerson countered with 6-3 Sr. Nate Feese, 6-1 Sr. Ethan Bailey, 6-2 Sr. Colton Collier, 5-10 Sr. Jackson Perry, and 5-10 Sr. Bryson Perry. (Model was short handed tonight with only eight players available and Jackson Perry leaving with an injury in the first minute of play).

 

Madison Central raced out to a 48-11 halftime lead on their way to a 69-34 victory over Model.  Madison Central shot 46.6% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 17 Model turnovers.  Model shot 26.5% from the field including two of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on six of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Jaylen Davis led Madison Central with 12 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Kole Browne added 11 points and two rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Will Hardin recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, and two steals.  6-2 So. Jayden West chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.  Trey Skaggs added eight points, three assists, and two steals. 

 

Nate Feese led Model with 12 points including six of 11 free throws, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Ethan Bailey added nine points, five rebounds, and two assists.  Bryson Perry recorded seven points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  6-2 Sr. Everett Parker-Noblitt pulled down seven rebounds.
