Lexington Catholic coach Donald Tegt started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Chloe Treece, 5-8 Sr. Farah Weldon, 5-10 Sr. Emma Frank, 5-6 Jr. Hannah Carlisle, and 5-7 So. Katherine Truitt. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Jr. Olivia Cathers, 5-7 So. Kylie Noble, 6-0 Jr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Jr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-7 Jr. Lauren Walton.
Lafayette trailed 23-20 at halftime but outscored Lexington Catholic 20-13 in the third quarter on their way to a 54-47 victory. There were eight lead changes and five ties in this game. Lafayette shot 37.2% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 30.8% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on nine of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.
Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 14 points including six of eight free throws, 12 rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots, and five steals. Olivia Cathers added 13 points including five of six free throws, three rebounds, and two blocked shots. Lauren Walton recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.
5-8 Sr. Ariel West led Lexington Catholic with 13 points including four three point baskets. 5-8 So. Olivia Bretz added 10 points and nine rebounds. Katherine Truitt recorded nine points including five of six free throws and three rebounds.
