Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Darik Holman, 6-2 Sr. Aziel Blackwell, 6-3 Sr. Harrison Lynch, 5-8 So. Konlin Brown, and 6-1 Jr. Kanye Henderson.  Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley countered with 6-4 Jr. Tyson Barrett, 6-2 Sr. Julius Scearce, 6-8 Sr. Shemar O’Roy-Ford, 5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson, 6-2 Sr. DaShawn Jackson.

 

Frederick Douglass trailed Henry Clay 23-21 at halftime but pulled away in the second half to defeat Henry Clay by the score of 59-49.  There were 10 lead changes and five ties in this game,  Frederick Douglass shot 53.3% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 28.6% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

 

6-0 Sr. Zaydan Fergerson led Frederick Douglass with 16 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.  DaShawn Jackson added 14 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and five assists.  Tyson Barrett recorded nine points and seven rebounds.  Kai Simpson chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.  5-8 Sr. Khamri McMullen added eight points including two three point baskets.

 

Konlin Brown led Henry Clay with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Aziel Blackwell added 11 points including five of six free throws, and four rebounds.  Harrison Lynch recorded 10 points including four of four free throws, and nine rebounds.  Kanye Henderson chipped in with nine points including four of seven free throws, five rebounds, and two assists.
