Atherton coach Wayne Turner started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Rachel Ucan-Ake, 5-7 Jr. Genevieve Poynter, 5-9 So. Adrienne Nally, 5-7 Sr. Abby Leach, and 5-6 Jr. Alyssa Alfon. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-8 Jr. Olivia Kaufman, 5-8 Sr. Danielle Schafer, 5-11 Jr. Sienna Slaughter, 5-5 Fr. Nylaia Carter, and 5-7 Jr. Olivia Lovan. (Sacred Heart Academy did not play their normal starters tonight and only six players logged minutes tonight).
Sacred Heart Academy scored 52 points on 33 Atherton turnovers in a 95-23 victory. Sacred Heart shot 55.4% from the field including 14 of 33 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and recorded 21 steals. Atherton shot 27.3% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Rebels connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored four points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Olivia Kaufman led Sacred Heart with 35 points including a school record nine three point baskets, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Olivia Lovan added 19 points including four of four free throws, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Danielle Schafer recorded 14 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Sienna Slaughter chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Nylaia Carter added 11 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, one blocked shots, and five steals.
Rachel Ucan-Ake led Atherton with five points, two rebounds, and three blocked shots. Abbi Leach added five points and two rebounds. Genevieve Poynter recorded five points. Adrienne Nally chipped in with four points and seven rebounds.
