Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Ava Schureman, 5-7 Jr. Rachel Smith, 6-0 So. Raegan Barrett, 5-1 Sr. Braylee McMath, and 5-7 Jr. Timothi Williams.  Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-11 Jr. Macie Daniels, 5-6 Jr. Morgan Flannery, 6-0 Jr. Reece Estep, 5-7 Sr. Lacie Parks, and 5-7 Sr. Samantha Cornelison.

 

Madison Southern defeated Great Crossing 49-44 tonight to avenge an 83-44 at the hands of the Warhawks on February 20th .  Great Crossing led 42-37 with 3:14 left in the game but Madison Southern closed out the game on a 12-2 run.  There were seven ties and seven lead changes in this game.  Madison Southern shot 27.3% from the field including four of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 21 of 33 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored two points off 10 Great Crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 27% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Warhawks connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored nine points on 16 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 19 points including three three point baskets, six of eight free throws, and three rebounds.  Reece Estep added 14 points including six of nine free throws, and 17 rebounds.  Lacie Parks recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

 

Raegan Barrett led Great Crossing with nine points and nine rebounds.  Braylee McMath added nine points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Ava Schureman recorded six points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Timothi Williams chipped in with six points and three rebounds.  5-10 So. Emma Boehm recorded four points and 11 rebounds.
