Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Sr, Brianna Bierbaum. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-10 Jr. Patience Laster, 5-5 Jr. Shauvi Kennedy, 6-4 So. Jhaven Meade, 5-2 Jr. Nevaeh Carter, and 5-6 Sr. Brooklynn Miles.
Franklin County dominated play in the paint tonight (44-14) in a 64-28 victory over Madison Central. Franklin County shot 42.2% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 26 Madison Central turnovers. Madison central shot 21.7% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Franklin County turnovers.
Patience Laster led Franklin County with 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Brooklynn Miles added 14 points, seven assists, and three steals. Nevaeh Carter recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and six steals. Jhaven Meade pulled down eight rebounds, and blocked five shots.
Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with eight points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Eve Carter added five points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
