Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Hudson Sparks, 6-3 Jr. Jack Gohmann, 6-10 So. Reece Potter, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Russell, and 6-2 Sr. Ben Johnson.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 Jr. Will Hardin, 6-4 So. Jaylen Davis, 6-6 So. Trey Skaggs, 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray, and 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne.

 

Madison Central shot a sizzling 70.5% from the field, led 73-57 in the third quarter and survived a furious rally by Lexington Catholic to earn a 101-97 victory.  Lexington Catholic lost three players tonight, Jack Gohmann, Ryan Russell, and Hudson Sparks who fouled out of the game.  Madison Central was 15 of 21 from the three point line, connected on 24 of 35 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 51.6% from the field including 13 of 35 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Jaylen Davis led Madison Central with 35 points, including five three point baskets, 10 of 11 free throws, and three steals.  Davis was 10 of 13 from the field including five of seven from beyond the arc.  Kole Browne added 24 points including five of eight free throws, three rebounds, and seven assists.  Will Hardin recorded 22 points including six three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Braeden Ray chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.

 

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 41 points including six three point baskets, 13 of 15 free throws, five rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  Ryan Russell added 25 points including four three point baskets, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Jack Gohmann recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and four assists.
