Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Jaylen Davis, 6-4 Jr. Will Hardin, 6-6 So. Trey Skaggs, 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray, and 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne. Franklin County coach Tony Wise countered with 6-3 Jr. Jayden Mattison, 6-3 Sr. Fred Farrier, 6-5 Sr. Phillip Peiffer, 5-8 Jr. Zac Cox, and 6-2 Sr. Nick Broyles.
Madison Central led 24-19 at halftime, and outscored Franklin County 23-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 67-51 victory. There were four ties and six lead changes in this game. Madison Central shot 50% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Franklin County turnovers. Franklin County shot 36.7% from the field including seven of 20 from beyond the arc. The Flyers connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.
Kole Browne led Madison Central with 24 points including seven of eight free throws, six rebounds, and two assists. Will Hardin added 20 points including four of four free throws, nine rebounds, and two assists. Jaylen Davis recorded 11 points including four of four free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Fred Farrier led Franklin County with 16 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Zac Cox added 15 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. Phillip Peiffer recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Nick Broyles chipped in with seven points and two assists.
