Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Jaylen Davis, 6-4 Jr. Will Hardin, 6-6 So. Trey Skaggs, 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray, and 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne.  Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley countered with 6-4 Jr. Tyson Barrett, 6-2 Sr. Julius Scearce, 6-8 Sr. Shemar O’Roy-Ford, 5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson, and 6-2 Sr. DaShawn Jackson.

 

Madison Central led 34-30 at halftime and pulled away yin the second half to earn an 80-62 victory over Frederick Douglass.  There were two ties and nine lead changes in this game.  Madison Central shot 55.6% from the field including eight of 14 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 22 of 28 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 35.8% from the field including six of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Kole Browne led Madison Central with 21 points including 10 of 12 free throws, 12 rebounds, and three assists.  Jaylen Davis added 21 points including four three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, four rebounds, and two steals.  Will Hardin recorded 19 points including two three point baskets, three of four free throws, eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocked shots. 

 

Kai Simpson led Frederick Douglass with 18 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  DaShawn Jackson added 14 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.  Julius Scearce recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.  Tyson Barrett chipped in with four points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.
