Paintsville coach Landon Slone started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Baron Ratliff, 6-2 Sr. Ryan Gibson, 6-5 Jr. Colby Fugate, 6-1 Sr. Braxton Tharp, and 6-2 Sr. Jaxon Watts.  Boyle County coach Dennie Webb countered with 6-3 Sr. Jagger Gillis, 6-1 Sr. Luke Sheperson, 6-3 Jr. Hagan Webb, 5-11 So. Owen Barnes, and 6-1 Jr. Luke Imfeld.

 

Paintsville led by 11 with 5:14 left in the third quarter but Boyle County rallied outscoring Paintsville 30-15 in the final quarter to earn a 70-56 victory.  Boyle County was eight of 11 from the field and 13 of 14 in the final quarter to earn the victory.  There were four ties and six lead changes in the game.  Boyle County shot 50% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line.  The Rebels connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 16 Paintsville turnovers.  Paintsville shot 45.2% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Boyle County turnovers.

 

Luke Sheperson led Boyle County with 25 points and eight rebounds.  Jagger Gillis added 19 points including eight of eight free throws, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Luke Imfeld recorded 17 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, six rebounds, and three assists. 

 

6-3 So. Connor Fugate led Paintsville with 16 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Colby Fugate added 16 points including two three point baskets, four of six free throws, three rebounds, and two assists.  Braxton Tharp recorded 10 points including four of five free throws, four assists, and four steals.  Baron Ratliff chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.
