Highlands coach Kevin Listerman countered with 6-3 Sr. Sam Vinson, 6-2 Jr. Oliver Harris, 6-4 Sr. Luke Muller, 5-9 So. William Herald, and 5-9 Jr. Zachary Barth.  Ashland Blazer coach Jason Mays started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Cole Villers, 6-2 Fr. Zander Carter, 6-8 Sr. Sean Marcum, 5-11 So. Colin Porter, and 6-1 Jr. Ethan Sellars.

 

Highlands led 36-32 at halftime and pulled away late for a 66-50 victory over Ashland Blazer.  Highlands shot 56.9% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Bluebirds connected on three of three free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Ashland Blazer turnovers.  Ashland Blazer shot 36.5% from the field including nine of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Tomcats connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Highlands turnovers.

 

Sam Vinson led Highlands with 27 points including three of three free throws, eight rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, and four steals.  Luke Muller added 15 points including three three point baskets, and six rebounds.  Oliver Harris recorded 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Zachary Barth chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and four assists.

 

Colin Porter led Ashland Blazer with 15 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Ethan Sellars added 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Cole Villers recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three blocked shots.
