Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Josie Gilvin, 5-8 Fr. Reagan Bender, 6-0 Jr, Alexandria Wolff, 5-5 So.Triniti Ralston, and 5-6 Sr.Maggie Montano.  Knott County Central coach Jeff Honeycutt countered with 5-8 Sr, Keara Mullins, 5-7 Jr. Brooke Mason, 5-8 So. Abby Maggard 5-3 Fr. Kaylie Gayheart, and 5-7 Jr. Kelsey Noble.

 

Sacred Heart Academy outscored Knott County Central 22-4 in the second quarter on their way to a 64-32 victory.  Sacred Heart’s defense forced 26 turnovers and 17 steals.  Sacred Heart shot 44.8% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.  Knott County Central shot 29.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and committed 26 turnovers.eight points, four rebounds,

 

Reagan Bender led  Sacred Heart with 21 points including six of eight free throws, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Josie Gilvin added 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and 10 steals.  Alexandria Wolff recorded eight points and four rebounds.  Triniti Ralston chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

 

Keara Mullins led Knott County Central with nine points including four of four free throws, and three rebounds.  Abby Maggard added seven points and two assists.  Brooke Mason recorded six points and one blocked shot.  Kylie Gayheart chipped in with five points, three rebounds, and five assists.
