Russell coach Mandy Layne started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Kaeli Ross, 5-6 So. Jenna Adkins, 6-0 Sr. Aubrey Hill, 5-0 Fr. Bella Quinn, ad 5-5 Fr. Shaelyn Steele.  Dixie Heights coach Joel Steczynski countered with 5-8 So. Ella Steczynski , 5-7 So. Reese Smith, 5-11 Jr. Madelyn Lawson, 5-5 Sr. Laci Reinhart, and 5-7 Sr. Sydney Lockard. 

Russell defeated Dixie Heights by the score of 58-44.  Russell shot 48.9% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Red Devils connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.  Dixie Heights shot 36.2% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers. 

Aubrey Hill led Russell with 22 points and nine rebounds.  Hill was 10 of 12 from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Shaelyn Steele added 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, six blocked shots, and two steals.  Jena Adkins recorded 11 points and four rebounds.  Kaeli Ross chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.

Madelyn Lawson led Dixie Heights with 11 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Reese Smith added 11 points, two rebounds, and three assists.  5-9 So. Samantha Berman recorded nine points ad four rebounds.
