Wasatch Academy coach Paul Peterson started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Robbie Armbrester, 6-4 Jr. Roddy Gayle Jr., 6-7 Sr. Fousseyni Traore, 6-2 Jr. Richard Isaacs, and 6-2 Sr. Nolan Hickman.  AZ Compass Prep coach Ed Gibson countered with 6-6 Sr. Glenn Taylor Jr., 6-6 Sr. Josh Uduje, 7-0 Jr. Adrame Dionque, 6-1 Sr. Javon Small, and 6-3 Sr. TyTy Washington.

 

AZ Compass Prep trailed 27-18 at halftime but rallied to defeat Wasatch Academy by the score of 59-54.  AZ Compass Prep shot 36.2% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line.  They connected on 18 of 24 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Wasatch Academy turnovers.  Wasatch Academy shot 42.3% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  They connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 AZ Compass Prep turnovers.

 

TyTy Washington led AZ Compass Prep with 22 points including two three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Glenn Taylor Jr. added 13 points including five of seven free throws, eight rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and five steals.  6-6 Jr. AJ Storr chipped in with 10 points including three three point baskets, and three rebounds.

 

Fousseyni Traore led Wasatch Academy with 20 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Richard Isaacs added 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Robbie Armbrester recorded 10 points and three rebounds.  Nolan Hickman chipped in with four points, four rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.
