Southwestern defeated Simon Kenton by the score of 62-33. Southwestern recorded 22 first downs and 517 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized 13 times for 145 yards and lost a fumble. Simon Kenton recorded 19 first downs and 273 yards of total offense. The Pioneers were penalized six times for 45 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.
Tanner Wright led Southwestern’s ground game with 168 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Dylan Bland carried the ball six times for 76 yards and three touchdowns. Connor Crisp added 48 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Giddeon Brainard recorded 41 yards on seven carries. Collin Burton carried the ball four times on 41 yards. Collin Burton completed five of six passes for 57 yards. Ryan Anderson completed his only pass fro 56 yards and a touchdown. Kaden Hewitt caught four passes for 64 yards. Maison Hibbard caught a 56 yard touchdown pass. Giddeon Brainard returned one kickoff for 70 yards and a touchdown. Kaden Hewitt returned one kickoff for 57 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Bland returned five punts for 28 yards. Maison Hibbard intercepted a pass.
Jayden Lawson led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 30 yards on 13 carries. Chase Crone ran for touchdowns. Chase Crone completed 18 of 28 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Chase Williams caught nine passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. Zeb Sand added two receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Lawson added two receptions for nine yards and a touchdown. Zeb Sand returned one punt for six yards. Chase Williams returned four kickoffs for 58 yards. Zeb Sand returned five kickoffs for 52 yards. Josh Bowling led the defense with nine solo and three assisted tackles. Chase Gill added four solo and three assisted tackles.
