Eastern scored a late touchdown (3:13) and added a two point conversion pass to defeat Henry Clay by the score of 42-41. Eastern recorded 27 first down and 585 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized 13 times for 106 yards and had one pass intercepted. Henry Clay recorded 20 first downs and 405 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized 11 times for 88 yards and had one pass intercepted.
Pierce Humpich led Eastern’s ground game with 246 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries. Eli Scott added 19 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries. Eli Scott completed 23 of 36 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Darius Shipley caught seven passes for 81 yards. Jacob Dewitt added seven receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown. Kedon Ward recorded four receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown. K. Thomas-Walker added four receptions for 77 yards. K. Thomas-Walker returned one kickoff for 32 yards. Darius Shipley added two kickoff returns for 56 yards with a long return of 32 yards. Joshua Shipley led the defense with seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Jacob Dewitt added six solo tackles. Tyson Huffman recorded six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Tyler Shipp added five solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Noah L’Hereaux recorded four solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned eight yards.
Jacob Childress led Henry Clay’s ground game with 167 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries. Jayden Bailey added 123 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Blake Van Horn completed seven of 17 passes for 106 yards with one interception. Hayden Van Horn caught three passes for 76 yards. Malcolm Paul added two receptions for 17 yards. Kasen Parks returned one punt for 37 yards. Blake Van Horn punted five times for a 40.0 average with a long punt of 46 yards. Z. Dabney led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Kyan Miller added six solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards. Matthew Embry recorded six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Miles Meegan chipped in with four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Kasen Parks recorded three solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 45 yards.
