Raceland-Worthington defeated Betsy Layne by the score of 62-20 to knock them from the unbeaten ranks. Raceland recorded 21 first downs and 431 yards of total offense. The Rams were penalized four times for 56 yards and had a pass intercepted. Betsy Layne recorded 10 first downs and 198 yards of total offense. They were penalized eight times for 75 yards and lost a fumble.
Noah Wallace led Raceland’s ground game with 87 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Connor Hughes added 23 yards on three carries. Jules Farrow recorded 22 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Logan Lundy carried the ball five times for 14 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Lundy completed 12 of 16 passes for 255 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. Landyn Newman caught four passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Connor Hughes added two receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown. Parker Gallion recorded three receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Connor Hughes returned one punt for 42 yards. Jules Farrow and Landyn Newman each returned a kickoff for 24 and 21 yards respectively. Xander Jenkins led the defense with four solo tackles. Landyn Newman added three solo and one assisted tackles. Jaxon Heighton recorded three solo tackles with all three resulting in losses. Chase Correll recovered a fumble.
Chase Mims led Betsy Layne’s ground game with 30 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Chase Mims completed 10 of 24 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Dylon Williams caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Nicholas Howell added four receptions for 28 yards and one touchdown. Nicholas Howell returned two kickoffs for 90 yards. Brady Robinson returned three kickoffs for 39 yards. Brady Robinson led the defense with four solo tackles.
