1st Annual Adams Buick GMC Holiday Hoopfest

Lincoln County coach James Jackson started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Mercedes Hensley, 5-6 Fr. Taylen Ralston, 6-0 Jr. Emily Estes, 5-5 So.Makayla Greer, and 5-5 Sr. Ally Lynn.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Olivia Cathers, 5-10 So. Narrah Wilson, 6-1 Sr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Sr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 Jr. Gracyn Grantz.

 

Lafayette led 32-25 at halftime and held Lincoln County to six points in the second half on their way to a 48-31 victory.  Lafayette shot 34.1% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 18 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 30.2% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots were zero of four from the free throw line, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Olivia Cathers led Lafayette with 14 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, two blocked shots, and five steals.  Anaya Brown added 13 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Gracyn Grantz recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, two assists, and two steals.

 

Taylen Ralston led Lincoln County with 12 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  5-6 Fr. Alexia Baldock added seven points and 5-9 So. Elly Sims chipped in with five points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Lafayette (48) – Cathers 14, Wilson 0, Brown 13, Jacobs 3, Grantz 11, Denton 2, Tishibangi 5.

 

Olivia Cathers (Lafayette) was named Chad Tate Shelter Insurance Player of the Game.
