1st Annual Adams Buick GMC Holiday Hoopfest

Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Lydia VanMeter, 5-7 So. Emily Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Fr. Ariyanna Sutton, and 5-7 So. Allison Stone.  Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble countered with 6-0 Jr. Keelee King, 5-7 Jr. Calleigh Burdette, 6-1 So. Talynne Shearer, 5-3 Sr. Addison McClure, and 5-5 Jr. Karlee Smith.

 

Henry Clay defeated Rockcastle County by the score of 56-50.  The score was tied four times and there were seven lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 44% from the field including three of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 23 Rockcastle County turnovers.  Rockcastle County shot 40.5% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rockets connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Allison Stone led Henry Clay with 22 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Kennedy Williams added 19 points and six rebounds.  5-6 So. Timari Miller chipped in with seven points.  Ariyanna Sutton dished out seven assists.

 

Talynne Shearer led Rockcastle County with 16 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Keelee King added 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  Karlee Smith and 5-6 8th Grade Taylor King each recorded six points.
