South Oldham coach Gene Heffington started the following lineup: 5-8 8th Grade Madison Young, 5-7 Sr. Hallie Brown, 5-9 So. Chloe John, 5-4 Jr. Natalie Betz, and 5-7 So. Sydney Hall. Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. countered with 5-8 Sr. Lelia Custard, 5-8 So. Olivia Tierney, 6-0 Fr. Kennedy Harrison, 5-7 Jr. Rachel Smith, and 5-8 Sr. Timothi Williams.
Graet Crossing outscored South Oldham 24-6 in the second quarter on their way to a 72-52 victory. Great Crossing shot 40.9% from the field including 11 of 31 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 14 points off eight South Oldham turnovers. South Oldham shot 25.8% from the field including nine of 28 from beyond the arc. The Lady Dragons connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Great Crossing turnovers.
Rachel Smith led Great Crossing with 22 points including six three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Olivia Tierney added 13 points and four assists. Timothi Williams recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and six assists,. Kennedy Harrison chipped in with two points, 17 rebounds, and three blocked shots.
Madison Young led South Oldham with 20 Points. Chloe John added 14 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Natalie Betz recorded eight points.
