Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. countered with 5-8 Sr. Leilia Custard, 5-8 So. Olivia Tierney, 6-0 Fr. Kennedy Harrison, 5-7 Jr. Rachel Smith, and 5-8 Sr. Timothi Williams.
Great Crossing trailed St. Henry 27-11 in the second quarter but rallied to earn a 56-51 victory. The score was tied three times and there were four lead changes in the game. Great Crossing shot 31.6% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 21 St. Henry turnovers. St. Henry shot 39.2% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc. The Crusaders connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Great Crossing turnovers.
Rachel Smith led Great Crossing with 16 points including four three point baskets. Olivia Tierney added 15 points and three steals. Timothi Williams recorded 14 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Kennedy Harrison chipped in with four points, 14 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.
Kayla Unkraut led St. Henry with 18 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. 6-0 So. Taylor Hill added 16 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals. Josie Knollman chipped in with eight points.
