Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Kyan Miller, 6-1 Sr. Kanye Henderson, 6-7 Sr. Brenden Wicker, 5-9 Jr. Konlin Brown, and 6-2 Sr. Aziel Blackwell.  Madison Southern coach Austin Newton countered with 6-5 Sr. Nate Turner, 6-2 Sr. Blake Simpson, 6-5 Jr. Brett Erslan, 6-0 So. Braden Hudson, and 6-3 So. Jay Rose.

 

Henry Clay defeated Madison Southern by the score of 70-55.  The score was tied three times and there were four lead changes in the game.  Henry Clay shot 39.6% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 23 of 27 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 44.2% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Aziel Blackwell led Henry Clay with 20 points including eight of eight free throws, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Kanye Henderson added 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Konlin Brown recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Kyan Miller chipped in with six points and six rebounds.  Brenden Wicker recorded four points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.

 

Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 25 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, and two steals.  Nate Turner added 12 points including two three point baskets and four of five free throws.  Brett Erslan recorded six points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
