Rowan County coach Shawn Thacker started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Braiden Hammonds, 6-2 So. Colby Wilburn, 6-5 Sr. Chase Alderman, 5-9 Fr. Jayson Ingles, and 5-10 Sr. Cody Collins.  East Jessamine coach Matthew Chewning countered with 6-0 Jr. Isaiah Daniel, 6-2 Sr. Turner Shouse, 6-3 Sr. Brycen Hubbard, 5-8 Fr. Myles Radford, and 5-8 Jr. Hayden Frazier.

 

Rowan County trailed 27-20 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat East Jessamine by the score of 54-49.  There were 11 lead changes and five ties in this game.  Rowan County shot 39.6% from the field including two of 14 from the three point line.  The Vikings connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 East Jessamine turnovers.  East Jessamine shot 43.2% from the field including seven of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 15 Rowan County turnovers.

 

Chase Alderman led Rowan County with 28 points including seven of 10 free throws, 12 rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Cody Collins added eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Colby Wilburn recorded seven points, two rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Braiden Hammonds chipped in with six points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

 

Hayden Frazier led East Jessamine with 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Myles Radford added eight points, five assists, and two steals.  6-2 Fr. Keelyn Daniel recorded seven points and three rebounds.
