Conner coach Michelle Gambrel started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Juliet Strange, 5-7 So. Aubrey Fisher, 5-10 Sr. Lauren Hawthorne, 5-4 Jr. Kelsee Simpson, and 5-6 So. Anna Hamilton.  Shelby Valley coach Lonnie Rowe countered with 5-11 So. Zoee Johnson, 5-8 Jr. Kyra Looney, 5-10 Sr. Alyssa Elswick, 5-6 So. Jazzy Meade, and 5-6 Sr. Cassidy Rowe.

 

Shelby Valley outscored Conner 24-6 in the second quarter on their way to a 54-40 victory.  Shelby Valley shot 43.2% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Kats connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Conner turnovers.  Conner shot 31.1% from the field including six of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Cougars connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Shelby Valley turnovers.

 

Alyssa Elswick led Shelby Valley with 18 points including eight of 11 free throws, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Jazzy Meade added 10 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.  Cassidy Rowe recorded nine points, three rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.  Kyra Looney chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists.  Zoee Johnson added eight points and 12 rebounds.

 

Lauren Hawthorne led Conner with 13 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Anna Hamilton added 13 points and two assists.  Juliet Strange recorded seven points and six rebounds.
