Mercy Academy coach Nick Cann started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Emma Barnett, 5-10 Jr. Mary Smith, 6-2 Fr. Leah Macy, 5-5 Fr. Alyssa Murphy, and 5-5 Sr. Gracie Helm.  Butler coach LaKesha Perry countered with 6-1 Sr. Tamesha Dozier, 5-8 Jr. Kylie Floyd, 6-3 So. Ramiya White, 4-10 Fr. Anieja Russell, and 5-5 So. Malia Patrick.

 

Mercy Academy outscored Butler 11-2 in the final quarter to earn a 55-46 victory.  There were six lead changes and four ties in this game.  Mercy Academy shot 31.1% from the field including eight of 31 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on nine od 12 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 42.9% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on one of four free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Mercy Academy turnovers.

 

Leah Macy led Mercy Academy with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Alyssa Murphy added nine points including five of six free throws, seven rebounds, six assists, and five steals.  Mary Smith recorded nine points on three three point baskets, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Emma Barnett chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, and four rebounds.  Gracie Helm added eight points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.

 

Ramiya White led Butler with 19 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Anieja Russell added 14 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Tamesha Dozier recorded six points and 12 rebounds.
