Berea coach Dammian Stepp started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Chesney Lovins, 5-8 Sr. Alexis Newman, 6-0 Sr. Madison Howell, 5-6 Sr. Mati Stepp, and 5-5 Sr. Isis Rodgers. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-7 Fr. Claire Roberts, 5-6 Fr. Ella Ison, 5-7 Sr. Sophie Gabbert, 5-5 Jr. Marin Wills, and 5-6 8th Grade Jentry Bertram.
Berea defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 65-44. Berea shot 51% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Pirates connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 22 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 44.7% from the field including seven of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored two points off five Berea turnovers.
Madison Howell led Berea with 15 points including four of four free throws, three assists, and three steals. Chesney Lovins added 10 points and five rebounds. Lovins was four of four from the field and two pf two from the free throw line. Alexis Newman recorded nine points including two three point baskets and two steals. 6-0 So. Lauren Stepp chipped in with eight points.
Claire Roberts led LCA with 19 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists. Sophie Gabbert added 12 points on four three point baskets and three assists. Jentry Bertram recorded seven points, seven rebounds, and two steals.
