Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Jamya Smith, 5-7 So. Allison Stone, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Fr. Ariyanna Sutton, and 5-8 So. Lydia VanMeter.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 So. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Eden Carter, 5-9 Sr. Kessaney Melton, 5-7 Fr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Fr. Nataya Strader.

 

Henry Clay defeated Madison Central tonight by the score of 56-48. There were five lead changes and three ties in this game.  Henry Clay shot 47.7% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 34.6% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Allison Stone led Henry Clay with 18 points including five of six free throws, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Kennedy Williams added 17 points and nine rebounds.  Lydia VanMeter recorded eight points and two rebounds.  5-10 Jr. Lauren Thomas chipped in with six points and five rebounds.  Ariyana Sutton recorded five points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

 

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 19 points and 11 rebounds.  Kessaney Melton added 10 points and two rebounds.  Brittany Campbell recorded five points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.  Eden Carter chipped in with six points, two assists, and five steals.
