Great Crossing vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Ava Schureman, 5-8 So. Olivia Tierney, 6-0 Jr. Raegan Barrett, 5-7 Jr. Rachel Smith, and 5-8 Sr. Timothi Williams.  Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-11 Sr. Macie Daniels, 5-6 Sr. Morgan Flannery, 5-10 Jr. Bella Moberly, 5-3 8th Grade Hadley French, and 5-5 Jr. Tara Wooten.

 

Madison Southern pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 56-43 victory over Great Crossing.  Madison Southern shot 31.6% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 33 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 16 points on 20 Great Crossing turnovers.  Grat Crossing shot 29.5% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Warhawks connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

Morgan Flannery led Madison Southern with 11 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  5-6 Jr. Jada Carter added 10 points and 13 rebounds.  Hadley French recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  5-11 Sr. Macie Daniels chipped in with nine points and three rebounds.

 

Olivia Tierney led Great Crossing with 13 points and three rebounds.  Rachel Smith added 12 points on four three point baskets and six rebounds.  Timothi Williams recorded eight points and six rebounds.  Ava Schureman chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Raegan Barrett added three points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.
