Scott County vs. Frederick Douglass (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 8th Grade Kierstin Young, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Hall, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Price.  Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Moberly countered with 5-9 Sr. Allison Wallace, 5-9 Sr. Bresha Love, 6-2 So. Ayanna Sarai-Darrington, 5-4 Fr. Katie Baker, and 5-7 Fr. Niah Rhodes.

 

Frederick Douglass defeated Scott County by the score of 72-49.  Frederick Douglass shot 41.3% from the field including 13 of 26 from the three point line.  The Lady Broncos connected on 46 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 38% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored six points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

 

Niah Rhodes led Frederick Douglass with 24 points including five three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Allison Wallace added 18 points including four three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Katie Baker recorded 12 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Ayanna Sarai-Darrington chipped in with four points, 12 rebounds, and three steals.

 

Kennady Tompkins led Scott County with 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and five blocked shots.  Maleiyah Moore added seven points, six rebounds, and two assists.  Emma Price recorded seven points including two three point baskets.
