Woodford County vs. Scott County (Girls)

Woodford County coach Erik Daniels started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Taylor Patterson, 5-7 Sr. Mackenzie Karo, 5-8 Jr. Haydon Wells, 5-2 Fr. Katie Pantaliono, and 5-5 Fr. Jasmine Williams.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-7 Jr. Tyra Young, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Hall, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Price.

 

Scott County defeated Woodford County by the score of 76-64.  Scott County shot 47.7% from the field including four of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 17 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 40.4% from the field including nine of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Kenady Tompkins led Scott County with 20 points, 10 points, five assists, and two steals.  Maleiyah Moore added 18 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Tyra Young recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Emma Price chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals.  5-10 8th Grade Kierstin Young added eight points and seven rebounds.  Kelsie Hall recorded seven points and two rebounds.

 

Mackenzie Karo led Woodford County with 19 points including six of nine free throws, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Katie Pantaliono added 15 points including two three point baskets, five of seven free throws.  5-10 Jr. Chloe Brown recorded 12 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Haydon Wells chipped in with 11 points, three rebounds, and two steals.
