Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Lauren Thomas, 5-8 So. Lydia VanMeter, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Fr. Ariyanna Sutton, and 5-7 So. Allison Stone.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-7 Jr. Tyra Young, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Hall, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Price.

 

Scott County raced out to a 21-9 early inn the second quarter but had to rally in the final quarter to earn a 53-51 come-from-behind victory over Henry Clay.  There were six lead changes in this game.  Scott County shot 46.7% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 43.1% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Kenady Tompkins led Scott County with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Emma Price added 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Maleiyah Moore recorded 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Tyra Young chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

 

Kennedy Williams led Henry Clay with 21 points and eight rebounds.  5-7 Fr. Amilian Fields added 14 points and six steals.  Lauren Thomas pulled down six rebounds.
