Scott County vs. Bryan Station (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Tyra Young, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-4 Sr. Brianna Penney, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Price.  Bryan Station coach Serena Sandusky countered with 5-11 So. Victory Sledge, 5-10 Sr. Tania Woodall, 5-11 So. Kailyn Gentry, 5-6 Jr. Emily Gomez, and 5-8 Fr. Jailenn Green.

 

Bryan Station outscored Scott County 19-7 in the third quarter on their way to a 68-58 victory.  There were 13 lead changes and three ties in this game.  Bryan Station shot 50.9% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Defenders connected on eight of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 39.3% from the field including 10 of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on four of 11 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Bryan Station turnovers.

 

Jailenn Green led Bryan Station with 22 points including four three point baskets.  Victory Sledge added 14 points and nine rebounds.  Tania Woodall recorded 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Kailyn Gentry chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

 

Kenady Tompkins led Scott County with 19 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Tyra Young added 15 points including three three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Maleiyah Moore recorded 12 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Emma Price chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets.
