Montgomery County vs. Madison Central (Girls)

Montgomery County coach Dustin High started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Allie Dillon, 5-7 So. Reaghan Oney, 6-0 Sr. Savannah Parker, 5-5 7th Grade Elaine Purvis, and 5-7 Fr. Hayden Barrier.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 So. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Eden Carter, 5-9 Sr. Kessaney Melton, 5-7 Fr. Brittany Canpbell, and 5-6 Fr. Nataya Strader.

 

Montgomery County raced out to a 22-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 67-50 victory over Madison Central.  Montgomery County shot 56% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  They connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 34.5% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 Montgomery County turnovers.

 

Savannah Parker led Montgomery County with 25 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.  Parker was 12 of 15 from the field and one for one from the free throw line. Allie Dillon added 17 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.   Hayden Barrier recorded 14 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Reaghan Oney pulled down 10 rebounds.

 

Bailey Hensley led Madison central with 20 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Brittany Campbell added eight points, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Kessaney Melton recorded eight points and three rebounds.  Eden Carter chipped in with five points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal.  5-7 So. Olivia Metcalfe added five points and three steals.
